Compost

I got a three bin compost "system" for Christmas. I wanted it because I was annoyed that the soil in our yard was essentially vacuumed every other week and all of the nutients that should be replenishing the soil were going out in the yard waste bin. Why should the city get my compost when It is so badly needed here? I finally set it up today (of course after the leaves are no longer falling...) I plan to take the small amount of grass that is mowed from our yard every other week, and transpost it into the compost bin. I will also make a significant effort to keep kitchen waste to add to the bin.
