Honda FCX Clarity

This Hydrogen/Electric Zero Emission Car is available only in CA (mostly SoCal) and only by lease (at $600/month - ouch!). The range of 280 miles per fill up is respectable, but falls a little short of ideal.

You're also going to have to do some research on where to find hydrogen filling stations near you, OR... Honda offers a home filling station - but doesn't list it's price, which makes me think you'll need to take out a second mortgage to afford it.

Chevy Volt Gets Green Light?

It's rumored that The Board of Directors gave the green light to funding the Chevy Volt. My main question is why does GM have such a micro-managing Board of Directors? Don't they trust their employees to make smart decisions? This is probably the source of GM's tumble from the top.

Diesel Hybrid

http://www.lincvolt.com/

This guy is my hero, he's taking a 1959 Lincoln Continental Mk IV convertible, and putting a diesel-electric hybrid powertrain in it.

It's been a pipe dream of mine to do the same with one of my Cadillacs (well maybe not exactly a diesel-electric hybrid, but you know, something similar). Icant wait to see how this turns out.

Hybrid cars

There's a whole slew of hybrids coming onto the market, so the "unique" styling of the Prius, or the crappy little Civic are no longer your only options to be greener... check out this site for a list of the options.

Fisker Karma

I love it! There are so many new companies springing up to make better cars! not only better for the environment better, but cars that look better as well.

This one is from a company called Fisker (no not the decorative scissor company) but named for Henrik Fisker, designer of some top-shelf autos.

Check out the car and company here: http://www.fiskerautomotive.com/

Cadillac going green?

Here's the latest concept from Cadillac - something called a Provoq.

What's great about it is that is is a hydrogen fuel cell powered automobile. Which means it's powered by a fuel cell system and a lithium-ion battery for an electrically driven vehicle that uses no gas and has no emission other than water.

Here's the article from Jalopnik with all the details:http://jalopnik.com/341986/ces-cadillac-provoq-hydrogen-fuel-cell-concept-revealed
